Lapland Information
Lapland is not actually a country
in itself, but is in fact made up of regions in Northern Finland,
Sweden and Norway, above the Arctic Circle. Lapland
is traditionally the home of nomadic reindeer herders and of course
Lapland's most famous resident - Santa Claus!
Lapland only has an average of 5 hours of daylight a day in December,
known as "grey light" - this is generally between 10 am
and 3 pm - the rest of the time is like night time. You might find
it useful to pack a torch!

Currency: Euro however English pounds are widely accepted.

Flight times from the UK: to Rovaniemi take about 3 hours; to Kittila
take about 2 and a half hours.
